Tasting Notes:
Light delightfully refreshing not too sweet but for its style and deliverance is pretty much just right with its Intensity of aromas perceived in the mouth as fruity or floral.
Not very well known in Australia and those who have tried it fell in love with its crisp refreshing melon tastes.
Try some you won’t be sorry.
Food and Wine pairing:
Works very well when pairing with seafood. Mussels, oysters, scallops, and shrimp are popular foods to eat with the wine. Additionally, the wine works well when paired with salmon and chicken.
The Wine:
Renowned for its white wines, the Loire Valley produces about 2.9 million hectoliters each year, 26% of which are red wines, 16% rosés, 6% sparkling wines and therefore more than the majority in white wines (52%).
The Loire Valley is divided into several sub-regions, each of which has its own identity and wine styles: the central vineyard, the Touraine, the Anjou and the Saumurois, and finally the Nantes country and the Vendée vineyard, all comprising 50 appellations, denominations and IGP. All these regions are located on the banks of the Loire and its tributaries.
Famous for its Sauvignon, Chenin and Melon de Bourgogne grape varieties in the production of its white wines, the Tressalier grape used for Reuilly white wines is also found in the Loire Valley. Cabernet Franc, Grolleau, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Côt, etc. are used to make red wines, which are mostly light.
Grape Variety:
Melon de Bourgogne.

In Brief
Featured number 9 in top 11 Loire Muscadet wines in California right now (2022). A pleasant and fresh white wine with citrus and perfume aromas. Strong citrus and sweet notes add to the cleansing taste. Pairs very nicely with chicken.
