Tasting Notes:
Lovely bright yellow colour. The nose blend aromatic delicacy with fruity and spicy notes. Rich in mouth with a good final freshness. Aromas are rich and persistent.
Food and wine Pairing:
Exotic foods, strong cheese, fish or white meat in a sauce. Crustations grilled scallops in a sauce or to enjoy simply as an aperitif.
The Wine:
Gewürztraminer is a variety of grape with a pink to red skin colour, which makes it a "white wine grape" as opposed to the blue to black-skinned varieties commonly referred to as "red wine grapes". The variety has high natural sugar and the wines are white and usually off-dry, with a flamboyant bouquet of lychees. Indeed, Gewürztraminer and lychees share the same aroma compounds.[1] Dry Gewürztraminers may also have aromas of roses, passion fruit and floral notes. It is not uncommon to notice some spritz (fine bubbles on the inside of the glass).

In Brief
Wow Comes from Alsace home of beautiful white wines. Med straw colour. Pronounced rose, candy floss, frangipani flowers on the nose, guava and passion fruit. Med body, med acidity and alcohol. Candied rose gives way to tropical fruit, followed by a hint of iodine and brine. Beautifully balanced with a lingering finish of pink lady apples. How could you resist this on a summers day or with a tray of sea food or tasty delicacies?
