Tasting Notes:
A nice light-yellow colour with green highlights.
On the nose, aromas of white and yellow fruits (pear, peach).
On the palate, a supple, pleasant wine, full of freshness.
Food and Pairing:
This wine goes wonderfully with hors d'oeuvres, mixed salads, seafood
and shellfish.
The Wine:
A great classic of dry Alsace wines, this Sylvaner develops floral aromas
with a lively finish.
Origin: Westhalten + Bennwihr + Barr.
Terroir. A blend of several clay-limestone dominated terroirs.
Picked at optimum maturity. Direct pressing. Thermo-regulated
fermentation.
Maturing on fine lees after alcoholic fermentation at low temperature to
avoid malolactic fermentation and thus preserve the aromas of the grape
variety.
